Social Innovation in the Water Treatment Sector in the Amazon (AguaSociaL)

AguaSociAL is an International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) Marie Curie action, within the FP7 People Programme, on "Social Innovation in the Water Treatment Sector in the Amazon" approved by the European Commission Research Executive Agency.
This action will promote research between Europe and Brazilian Partners for research and research training in the field of Social Innovation and Water.
This multidisciplinary exchange programme aims at propose a Identify existing and potential water treatment, reuse, recycling and sanitation technologies that are socially accepted and community owned. Social Innovation approach should enable the linkage of scientific and traditional local knowledge, while simultaneously supporting a co-learning process towards sustainable development.

Sustainable Human Development for MED Countries' (SHUMED)

SHUMED is an International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) Marie Curie action, within the FP7 People Programme, on "Sustainable Human Development for MED Countries" approved by the European Commission Research Executive Agency.

This action will promote research between Europe and Mediterranean Partner Countries (MCP) for research and research training in the field of the sustainable human development.

This multidisciplinary exchange programme aims at propose a corporate-view approach for measuring the level of human development in sustainability terms by considering the contribution of corporates and their networks.

Exploring the future of global food and nutrition security - FOODSECURE sito esterno

The FOODSECURE project aims to design effective and sustainable strategies for assessing and addressing the short- and long-term challenges of food and nutrition security (FNS). The project will provide a variety of analytical tools to experiment, analyse, and coordinate policies to address tight and volatil food markets.
More specifically, FOODSECURE aims to:
• Better understand the causes of hunger and malnutrition and the determinants of global food and nutrition security.
• To improve the ability of decision makers to foresee and respond to future food and nutrition security crises.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on technological and institutional change and policy strategies to improve global FNS.
